Gerber Stauffer Fine Arts is an international dealership specialising in Modern, Post-War and contemporary art. We advise a select group of private and institutional clients on all aspects of building and managing their collections. Acting as agents for our clients or on own account, we buy and sell important works of art from the late 19th century to the present. Our main office with in-house research facilities and spacious viewing rooms is centrally located in Zurich, Switzerland.
Manuel Gerber, Partner, pioneered quantitative research in art market econometrics and has been advising private and institutional clients from across the globe on collecting and art investments since 2006. A founding member and CEO of an early private art fund, he has previously held academic, executive and board positions in Europe, the US, the Middle East and Asia. Manuel Gerber holds a PhD in Near Eastern Archaeology and Ancient Near Eastern Languages and is a Sloan Fellow of London Business School.
Thomas Stauffer, Partner, has been a passionate art collector since his teenage years. With a keen eye for anticipating lasting market developments and an excellent worldwide network of contacts, he has made himself a name internationally for finding important artworks off-market in private collections. He previously held various senior management positions, inter alia with Starbucks Switzerland and Austria, and the Swiss Army. Thomas Stauffer has degrees in Economics and Human Resource Management as well as a post-graduate degree in Arts and Cultural Management.
Gina Quan, Regional Director Asia, was educated and lived in the UK for 15 years and now works between China, Switzerland and the UK. She closely engages with our clients as an advisor and handles acquisitions and private sale mandates with a strong focus on Asia, but also Europe and the US. Ms Quan serves on the advisory board of GFAA (The Global Fine Art Awards). She attended courses on art history at the Courtauld Institute of Art, London, and holds a BSc in Investment Banking from University of Reading and an MSc in Investment Management from CASS Business School, City University of London.
